Melvin C. Hampton, Sr., founded Hampton & Sons Construction, Inc., in 1970. His two sons, Curtis and Ken joined the company that year. Ken moved on to another career, so Melvin and Curtis worked closely together for many years. Curtis learned many valuable lessons from his dad, and most of his values and his insistence on quality workmanship come from the leadership shown to him by his father. Although Melvin passed away in 2000, the legacy of quality craftsmanship lives on in the family tradition. Curtis' son, Troy, joined in the company in 1996. He has proven himself to be a valuable addition. Curtis' wife, Marcia, is also an important asset to the company as the office manager.
Curtis and Marcia Hampton have been married for 32 years and have lived in Haysville for most of that time. They have three children: Stephanie, Troy, and April. They have also been blessed with four grandchildren, with one more on the way.
